This is a plot of an SSB crystal filter insertion loss in dB and phase in degrees vs. frequency, as tested by Harold Johnson, W4ZCB, and plotted by a VNA transmission test program. This plot, at 20 dB per vertical division, shows that the filter has over 100 dB of attenuation in stopband and about 5.5 dB insertion loss in passband. It also shows the nearly linear phase excursions from -180 to +180 degrees in passband. The 1 kHz per horizontal division plot scale, combined with the 20 dB per vertical division, highlights this filter's sharp skirt selectivity.
