Rodding friends

Bill is from the USA and has a mighty fine Ford 1930 coupe built by himself, over a 4 year period.

The Rod was built from a fairly complete coupe and has been chopped a mild 2 inches, to keep everybody guessing,

says Bill. Power is from a 302 Chev and T350 to a Mopar rear end. Body is slightly tubbed at rear to fit those 285/70 tyres under the fenders.

Bill sent me a "mystery gift" for my car which he has handcrafted. It is a oval Hotrod badge which lights up and will be fitted on my instrument panel.

Bill very generously donated his set of cowl lamps for my Rod.

There's some neat custom touches on Bill's Rod, if you look carefully.
Jeff's 30 Chevy coupe (USA) 400 cu inch sbc/T700

Jeff also has a Big Block powered '32 Oldsmobile which cuts VERY low ET's, 10.92secs @ 121mph, on the dragstrip. I was priveleged to ride in it when we visited Jeff and it's an awesome Streetrod.

Mikes 30 coupe before the top chop. (USA) Mike's coupe is now running around Mass. USA. Having a ball !!

Mike now has a crate 350sbc and is about to replace the 5 speed with an auto.

Bill, from Chicago, started building this channeled '30 coupe only a couple of weeks ago. (mid Mar 01)

He has built the chassis, floor and steeled it out in that time and hopes to finish it next month (April) Wow!

June 2001..Bill drove the finished rod !!

In May 2001, we travelled to the NSRA York Nats. in Bill's 30 Ford and Jeffs 30 Chev. I also met up with Mike and saw his 30 Ford under construction.
