Steve's Modular PICASTAR build

Steve just sent me some pictures of hos PICASTAR build using some of my modules, based on the original PICASTAR by G3XJP.

Steve has made a beautiful job of the build and even built the microphone and keyer. See the pictures below and enjoy.

{take a look at the very neat stamped ID of each module also } <vk3pe>

Hi Glenn,

Hope you are well.

I have attached somef images of my star build. Use all, some or none it's up to you I won't take offence,

This is probably not the best build, but it could win the heaviest star in the world award, hence the strap handles.

The brass boxed modules are 1.6mm thick sheet.

The mic and key are homebrew also.

The scope image shows, Ch1 CW side tone. Ch2 CW output via 40dB tap.

The night time image shows LED action, or as one person commented "a Xmas tree". These are high efficient LED most have 10k resistor in series, and they were still too bright, so I rubbed the flat tops down a bit more with 400 grit wet and dry.

As I said if you don't have time or room on your site then don't use them, I will understand.

Thanks for all your efforts and contribution in this project.

Regards

Steve g7was
