My NISSAN's My wife and I currently own a Nissan Pulsar SSS. Previous Nissans have been a 1994 turbo Nissan 200SX coupe (sold June 99) a 1991 Pulsar GTiR all wheel drive turbo (sold March '98) and a 1983 Nissan EXA FWD turbo. We had a Commodore Calais sedan with the Nissan turbo engine, in 1987. As you can see, we like our cars to be a little faster than the average. See end of page for data and the GTiR page. See my other site Web page for the New 1999 Silvia (200SX) 1994 Nissan 200SX coupe
I bought the Nissan 200SX in late 1994 and I sold it in June '99. I bought the GTiR on the right in Oct 96, and sold it in March '98. Both were great cars! The 200SX turbo is a very pleasant, easy car to drive, with good power, comfortable interior with all electrics, great steering and nice handling. Very easy to break the rear tyres loose, so demands a bit of respect when driving, especially in the wet. Can be caught off boost sometimes. ie. bad turbo lag in some conditions Both the 200SX and the Pulsar GTiR use the same series of Nissan engine, the SR20DET. The 200SX is 147kW and the GTiR is 171.5kW. The GTiR is just unbelievable in the wet, just point it where you want to go, give it as much power as you want (or dare) and it just goes there. No drama, no fuss. Almost undetectable lag. See data button below for more technical information. 1998 Nissan Pulsar SSS My wife bought a Pulsar SSS in May '98. It replaced her previous 1.6 litre '93 Pulsar "Q". It's a red hatch back with the 2000cc SR20 engine of 105kW with 5 speed gearbox. It has 4 wheel disk brakes with ABS, 15" alloy wheels, rear spoiler, sports seats, leather steering wheel, white faced instruments, CD player, air bag etc etc. Pulsar SSS, 0-100kph in about 8.5 secs.
The mighty Nissan SR20 engine, 105kW (in GTiR & 200SX, is SR20DET. 173 & 147kW)
Interior, showing white faced gauges, leather steering wheel (with air bag)
Standard 15" alloy wheels
